Privacy and your data
DriverCrowd Labs runs Farmer Price Alerts. This page says in plain language what we access and what we do with it.
What we access
- Report address (option A): only the mail agents send to your report address.
- Connect Gmail (option B): read-only access to your Gmail. Our code searches only for messages from the agents you named. It doesn't list, open or store any other message. The Google permissions are
gmail.readonly,openidandemail.
Why
To read your agents' sales reports and send you a daily WhatsApp summary of your own sales. That is the only purpose.
What we never do
- We never use your data for advertising.
- We never use it to train AI models, including through our AI provider.
- We never show raw market price tables.
The AI provider
We use Anthropic's Claude to read the reports. Anthropic is outside South Africa. We use it with zero data retention, so Anthropic does not keep your report data.
How long we keep it
- Raw reports: deleted after 90 days. We keep them that long to reprocess a report and to settle disputes.
- Extracted figures: kept while your account is open.
Gmail Limited Use
Gmail data is used only to produce your price messages. It isn't used for advertising, and isn't used to train AI models, including through our AI provider. Gmail refresh tokens are encrypted, and only our processing service can decrypt them. Disconnecting revokes the token with Google and deletes it the same day.
Your control
- STOP pauses messages. START resumes them.
- Cancelling deletes your data.
- You can disconnect Gmail at any time, in WhatsApp or in your Google account.
